Second batch of ilmenite exported from Trincomalee Port

Trincomalee Port has proudly managed to export the second batch of ilmenite as another milestone in the export of bulk goods which started after thirty years, Sri Lanka Port Authority (SLPA) announced.

Trincomalee Port has proudly managed to export the second batch of ilmenite as another milestone in the export of bulk goods which started after thirty years, Sri Lanka Port Authority (SLPA) announced.

The resident manager of the Trincomalee Port Saman Perera who is confirmed that the second portion of the shipment was exported on last Thursday (Nov 03).

“The Sri Lanka Port Authority’s income from the export of this bulk cargo is Rs. 180 million,” he calculated. The bulk carrier departed the Port of Trincomalee late afternoon on last Thursday.

Meanwhile, the former chairman of the Sri Lankan Authority and the current Secretary of the Ministry of Investment Promotion General (Retd.) Daya Ratnayake appreciated the “exemplary teamwork and dedication of SLPA employees working at the Trincomalee Port.”
