Shipping Corporation of India reported a net loss of Rs 7 crore for the fourth quarter ended March, 2016. The largest domestic ship liner had recorded a net profit of Rs 101.49 crore in the year-ago period. Total income from operations fell to Rs 983.82 crore from Rs 1,076.96 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year, the company said in a filing to the exchanges. For the entire 2015-16 fiscal, SCI recorded an increase of 88 percent in net profit at Rs 377.41 as against Rs 200.93 crore in the year-ago period. However, the total income from operations during the fiscal declined to Rs 4,112.39 crore as against Rs 4,308.13 crore in the previous fiscal.
