Shipping lines are making every effort to clear up the containers piled up at Chittagong port. Maersk has added an extra vessel in this regard for moving exports from the Bangladesh ports. Many of the other liners are considering extra calls to the port as well. Maersk operates four services connecting within Asia from Bangladesh, including its recently introduced SH3 service.

As the global markets diversify their apparel imports beyond China, shipping lines are more upbeat about the garment exports from Bangladesh flourishing. Following the recent political turmoil factories and businesses are now resuming back their operations, signaling revival of businesses.
