Further, diesel and petrol-run vehicles will be called out from service, making way for CNG-based trucks and port equipment. “This will take upto two years,” Angamuthu said.
He said that the authority also plans to do credit rating for the port, which handled an all-time record cargo of 73.75 million MT in 2022-23.
