Shri Rinkesh Roy, IRTS, has assumed additional charge as Chairman, V.O. Chidambaranar Port Trust, Tuticorin today on 12.06.2018.

An Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) Officer of 1992 batch, Rinkesh Roy is the Chairman of Paradip Port Trust from 23rd December 2015.

Shri Rinkesh Roy has worked in several capacities, including Director of Coal in the Railway Board, Director of Planning in Railway Board, Chief Freight Traffic Manager of the East Coast Railway and in various capacities in the operations Department of the South Eastern Railway. As General Manager, Operations in Centre for Railway Information Systems, he developed a mobile application called ‘Parichaalan’ for freight operations.

Shri Rinkesh Roy holds a Degree in Economics (Hons) from Ravenshaw College, securing 1st position in Utkal University and a Master Degree in Public Management from the prestigious Harvard University, USA. He is also the winner of the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Fellowship, 2013.
While Chairing the meeting with the Senior Officers of the Port, he said “the Port should continue to improve its operational efficiency, reduce transit times and augment the infrastructure & facilities to attract new customers, recognising that the Ports contributes to the prosperity of the nation.”
