Hydrogen when converted into methylcyclohexane (MCH), can be stored under ambient temperature and pressure as a liquid and can be re-converted into gaseous form for use in port operations. These trials have been conducted by NTU Singapore, PSA Singapore and Japan’s Chiyoda Corporation. These trials have also enabled PSA to establish the first hydrogen refuelling station, introduce a hydrogen fuel cell electric prime mover at Pasir Panjang Terminal in Singapore, ultimately enhancing global Hydrogen supply chains.
