SYMCON Industries has started manufacturing ISO Containers with its first manufacturing unit established in Ahmedabad. This is the first container manufacturing facility in western India. In a bid to encourage manufacturing of domestic containers CONCOR had invited bids for 6000 teus new build containers. The freight moving arm of Indian Railways has also placed orders for 10,000 twenty feet containers, with new container manufacturers in India being given priority. Many private logistics service providers such as the Adanis and DP World are preferring local container manufacturers over Chinese counterparts. SYMCON Industries is a manufacturer of ISO Shipping / Freight Containers / Dry Cargo Containers as per ISO 1496 series standards. Their portfolio of Freight Containers range includes 10FT, 20FT, 20FT High Cube, 30FT, 40FT, 40FT High Cube, 45FT, 45FT High Cube as per customer’s specific design / requirement. Current installed capacity is over 2000 TEUs per annum and an additional production line is being developed to enhance the production capacity to over 4000 TEUs per annum.
