The CMA CGM Foundation and Child Rights and You – CRY have renewed their partnership in 2025 to develop three more educational centres in underprivileged areas of Kurla, Mumbai. These centres will provide socio-educational support to over 500 marginalized children between the ages of 6 and 18. They will notably offer tailored educational programs aligned with school curricular, along with extracurricular activities such as sports and drama. In addition, they will contribute to developing the children’s life skills, including confidence building, within a safe and nurturing environment.

Since 2023, the first two centres established through the partnership between the CMA CGM Foundation and CRY – Child Rights and You, have benefited 1,000 children annually. With the renewed partnership and the opening of three additional centres, more than 1,500 children will now have access to quality education each year, empowering them to enroll and thrive in formal education systems.

Monthly activities will give CMA CGM Group staff members the opportunity to volunteer and engage with children. An annual football tournament will also be organized to bring together children and participants from all five centres, fostering community spirit and cooperation.

Through this initiative and other collaborations, the Foundation’s nine educational and social centres in Mumbai will collectively support more than 2,150 children in 2025, advancing its mission to promote education for all.

Since 2005, the CMA CGM Foundation has partnered with associations to implement more than 550 educational initiatives around the world. These include the renovation or construction of 19 educational facilities worldwide, including schools in Côte d’Ivoire and Indonesia, and educational and training centres in Kenya, Vietnam, and Brazil.
