Thirty-Two national waterways considered technically feasible for development

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]As many as 32 new national waterways in the country have been considered technically feasible for development of shipping and navigation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will soon inaugurate eight national waterways (NWs), Transport and Shipping Minister Nitin Gadkari said. “Out of 106 newly-declared national waterways (NWs), 32 NWs are considered technically feasible so far. Out of these 32 NWs, the development of seven NWs has been approved,” he said.

The 32 NWs include Barak, Mandovi, Zuari, Kosi, Sunderban watersways, Subansiri, Mahanadi, Alappuzha-changanassery canal, Kottayam-Vaikom canal, Kabini, Mapusa, Dabhol creek, Savitri, Mahi, Narmada and Tapi.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
