Lucknow project implementation unit of NHAI oversees toll collection and maintenance of 13 road stretches.

While trying to extract more usage charges from commercial and heavy vehicles, NHAI has increased rates for car and SUV owners by Rs 5 over existing charges for single or round trips within 24 hours.

For example, vehicle owners heading to Ayodhya from Polytechinic crossing in Lucknow will continue to shell out Rs 115 for single trip at Ahmedpur toll plaza and Rs 120 at Raunahi plaza, but charges for round trip have been increased to Rs 175 and Rs 185, instead of the existing Rs 170 and Rs 180. Similar revision has been done across majority of the toll collection points.
