Torgmoll, a Chinese transport and logistics company, will operate a new regular direct box service from China to the First Container Terminal (FCT) based in Russia’s Big Port of St. Petersburg.
Five specialised container vessels with an average capacity of 2,500 TEUs will be deployed on the service, which will be made twice a month.
The port rotation of the service is Qingdao (China) – Shanghai (China) – Huangpu, Xinsha terminal (China) – St. Petersburg (Russia).
As part of the service, container block trains will be formed at the FCT site to send import goods to the stations of Moscow region.
On the basis of FCT and Yanino Logistics Park (Global Ports inland terminal in the vicinity of St. Petersburg), empty container depot services will also be available to customers, according to an announcement, while clients will be able to pick up containers from the stock on their own, bring in export cargo for stuffing and organize empty equipment delivery using railway infrastructure of the terminals.
