The first critical package – Generator Stator weighing 400 MTs, dimensions in metres: 10.31L x 5.92W x 4.65H for NTPC Darlipali 2 x 800 MW Super Thermal Power Project, Odisha was moved by roll-on operation at custom-built jetty in self-propelled barge Mv. AKUA KUEEN through Kamarajar Port. The entire work was executed by M/s Lee & Muirhead Pvt Limited.
Toshiba JSW Powers Systems Pvt Ltd has awarded the complete contract for this prestigious project to M/s. Lee & Muihread Pvt Limited, where there are three such Generator Stator packages involved.
This Generator Stator moved from Toshiba JSW Power Systems Pvt Ltd., Manali manufacturing plant to Kamarajar Port on 17th March and roll on operation on the above barge successfully completed on 20th March. On this occasion, Mr Pankaj Gadhia CEO of Lee & Muirhead Pvt Limited thanked Kamarajar Port senior officials and their teams and their customer Toshiba JSW Power Systems Pvt Ltd for their full support and cooperation. He had stated that for this critical movement a lot of detailed planning has been done along with their customer. Mr Pankaj further added that for this movement, specialised self-propelled barge and Goldhofer girder bridge, custom-built to suit Indian road & bridge conditions, are being used – which is a first of its kind in India. He thanked his entire team for their hard work and dedication.
