Tripura – Bangladesh rail to start this year

Rail communication will be started with Bangladesh through Agartala this year. If that happens, you can reach Kolkata from Agartala in just 10 hours. More than Rs 235 crore has been allocated for the modernization of Agartala railway station,” said Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha.

The central government has allocated funds for the modernization of a total of three railway stations in Tripura. These include Udaipur Railway Station, Kumarghat Railway Station, and Dharmanagar Railway Station. Apart from this, Rs 235 crore will be spent on the modernization of Agartala railway station. It will have various high-quality facilities.

The Union Ministry of Railways has taken the initiative to modernize 508 railway stations across the country under the Amrit Bharat Station Project.
