MV Huahine is a Castle Max size vessel which carried 1,99,900 metric tonnes of Manganese Ore from Gabon. This is the largest cargo carried by any vessel to an Indian port. It berthed at the general cargo berth of the port operated by Vedanta. The ship will be discharging 1,24,500 metric tonnes of the bulk cargo at Vizag port. The arrival of MV Huahine will transform Visakhapatnam Port into a hub for bulk cargo transhipment.
