The recently appointed First Minister of Wales, Vaughan Gething, is visiting Mumbai ahead of a Wales trade mission to India. This is Mr Gething’s first international visit as First Minister, his focus is meeting with leaders of Tata Steel, as well as exploring wider business links between Wales and India as part of the Government’s year of Wales in India.
Mr Gething said: “The aim of the trade mission is to help us build on established links with India and discuss future export opportunities. Wales has a strong industrial heritage that has shaped our confident, creative and ambitious economy of today. We have strength in advanced manufacturing, creative industries, energy and environment, life sciences, and technology. I’m looking forward to the connections and friendships that will be built from this trade mission.”
