As per the revised schedule, the services would be operated every 30 minutes instead of the earlier frequency of 45 minutes. The first boat from Vyttila to Kakkanad would depart at 7.50am and the last boat would depart from Vyttila at 6.50pm. A total of 19 trips would be operated from Vyttila to Kakkanad, while 18 trips would be operated from Kakkanad to Vyttila.

The commercial operation on the route was started on April 27. In the beginning the boats were operated from 8am to 11am and from 4pm to 7pm with three trips each in the morning and evening hours. Then the number of trips were increased to every 45 minutes. But there was strong demand from commuters to increase the frequency as large number of people are depending on the service to travel from city to Kakkanad region.
