The company has asked all manufacturers and suppliers of electric AGVs to submit a proposal with the following requirements.

An electric AGV system should have capacity, navigation capabilities, safety features, and the ability to connect with the current infrastructure.

As for automated charging solutions, Westports Malaysia is interested in new charging solutions that maximise AGV uptime. Proposals should explain how automatic charging technology guarantees that AGV power levels are refilled in a timely and effective manner.

Concerning integration and compatibility, the proposal must demonstrate how their AGV system will interface smoothly with the Terminal Operating System (TOS).

In terms of cost analysis, proposals must provide a detailed cost breakdown that includes initial setup costs, ongoing maintenance, and prospective savings in costs compared to traditional AGV systems.
