[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Wheel & Time, the commercial agents for Jumbo Maritime Group and Hansa Heavylift GmbH in India, has achieved a remarkable and record-breaking performance by securing and successfully executing 6 back-to-back heavylift shipments. GAC Shipping (India) Pvt. Ltd has been entrusted the agency work for all the ports in India.

This included shipping and transportation of heavylifts for marine and ports, dredging, refinery and petrochemicals, renewable energy and power industries.

Even during the global business slowdown, including in Indian markets, Wheel & Time has continued to lead and had another magnificent year by securing and executing some of the most prestigious project shipments.

Recently, as mentioned, the company amazingly bagged 6 back-to-back heavylift shipments from large and well established Indian conglomerates functioning in various sectors. Most of the shipping operations were performed by Wheel & Time’s exclusive principal’s Jumbo Maritime Group, the owners of 14 heavylift self-geared vessels with lifting capacities ranging from 650 tons to 3,000 tons.

Renewable Energy
Wheel & Time continued to win, bagging another small yet extremely important shipment of windmill blades and towers from New Mangalore Port to Kandla Port. This shipment was extremely vital for the company in order to impress upon its Indian clients that Jumbo Maritime Group can also execute large volumes of break-bulk cargo if vessels are in position.

Dredging & Marine Equipment
Wheel & Time, through a European vessel owner, won and executed shipping of dredging equipment from Dhamra Port to Vizhinjam Port. This shipment, of about 27,000 cubic metres, included partially assembled mono hull cutter suction dredger IHC beaver, spuds, flexible hoses, swivel bend, anchors, multi-utility craft, containers and floating pipeline assembly.

Refinery Equipment
As Jumbo’s exclusive Indian agents, Wheel & Time won another prestigious project shipment facing fierce competition from the global shipping market. This was the shipping of a 673-ton DHDS reactor from Hazira Port to Chennai Port.

Port Equipment
As Jumbo’s exclusive agents, Wheel & Time yet again bagged a shipping contract of shifting 2 x 500 tons, MHC-LHM500, grabs and containers from Visakhapatnam Port to New Mangalore Port and Mormugoa Port.

Power
Another project Wheel & Time bagged was for transporting a power generator stator from Mundra Port to Haldia Port. While the shipment was received from port quay at Mundra, the generator stator was discharged on to the dumb barge alongside the vessel at Haldia Port.

Refinery/Petrochemical

Wheel & Time was successful in combining the power generator with another refinery equipment from Mumbai Port to Haldia Port for the upcoming Haldia Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd. This was an interesting and challenging shipment due to extremely tight stowage of coke drums on the barge. Over and above, the loading had to be done from the mid-anchorage at Mumbai.
