Workshop conducted by Allcargo at PMKK to highlight importance of women’s health and hygiene

Allcargo Logistics, India’s largest private-sector end-to-end logistics solutions provider had organized a workshop to create awareness on female health and hygiene. Conceptualized as part of a Women’s Day initiative, the workshop was conducted at the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) center of Allcargo.

The special workshop on women’s health and hygiene was organised emphasising on the need to educate young girls on topics like personal hygiene, menstruation, motherhood, amongst other essential female-focused areas.

“With changing social and economic demographics, women are forming an increasing part of the country’s workforce. Paying attention to their healthcare and hygiene issues assumes paramount importance. This will ensure that women are empowered socially and economically through access to sustainable livelihoods and contribute to the growth and development of the nation,” stated Dr. Nilratan Shende, GM – CSR, Allcargo Logistics.

The workshop was conducted by Allcargo in collaboration with its NGO partner, Light of Life Trust (LOLT). More than 60 girls participated in the workshop which focused on the importance of women’s health and hygiene through audio-visual techniques.
