The Israeli shipping line ZIM has launched a new service called Ase, connecting Asia with South America.

The new monthly service provides a direct connection between South China and South America with the following rotation: DaChan Bay – Santos – Itapoa – Buenos Aires – DaChan Bay.

Ase service is offering a transit time from DaChan Bay to Santos, Itapoa and Buenos Aires of 32, 34, and 35 days, respectively.

The service started on 24 September, when a fully loaded vessel departed from DaChan Bay Terminals for Brasil and Argentina.

“ZIM has been our long-term customer and we are glad to work with them on the ASE service to introduce additional capacity to meet shippers’ needs,” stated DaChan Bay Terminals Managing Director, Brian Yeung.

According to a statement, the Haifa-based carrier is the first to introduce extra capacity to Argentina in order to meet the increasing demand.
